Supervises dietary staff in main kitchen, employee cafeteria, clinical activities, programs, and long-term care dining room during meals. Supervises the set up hospital meal trays and carts inspecting each for accuracy. Helps maintain proper staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage at all times. Assists with annual budget and maintains necessary food cost control procedures and reports to ensure that both patient/resident and cafeteria services are run within established budgetary guidelines. Consult with patients and residents to monitor quality and determine patient/resident preferences. Conduct routine inspection on equipment and report all damage or disrepair to engineering. Oversee the preparation of food specifications.
